William A. “Bill” Ehlke Jr. age 90 of St. Germain, WI died on Wednesday, September 28th at his residence. Bill was born on April 1, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI the son of William A. and Laura (nee Moore) Ehlke Sr. Bill attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School at 9th and Highland St. and Peckum Junior High School and graduated from Washington High School. He joined the Naval Reserve during his senior year of high school. Upon high school graduation, Bill was called up for active duty in the Navy. He served 2 years of active duty in the South Pacific. After returning home he attended UW-Milwaukee for 2 years. During this time he was married to Charmaine R. Ulrich and they spent the next 69 years raising a family of 4 children.
He is survived by his loving wife; Charmaine (Ulrich) Ehlke of St. Germain, WI and Children: John (Geraldine) Ehlke of Waukesha, WI; Laurel Hasenstein of St. Louis, MO; Christine (Dennis) Froehlich of Marinette, WI; and Jennifer Ehlke Heyer of Johnson Creek, WI
Further survived by his Grandchildren: Brian (Sashie) Ehlke of Waukesha, WI; Matthew (Shelley) Ehlke of Green Bay, WI; Heather (Chris) Marks of Waukesha, WI; Christophere Hasenstein of St. Louis, MO; Shanon (Hank) Senor of Wooldridge, MO; Nicole Hasenstein of St. Louis, MO; Nathan Hasenstein of St. Louis, MO, Mick Froehlich of Santa Monica, CA; Andrew (Michelle) Heyer of Jefferson, WI; Lauren Ehlke of Charlotte, NC and William Heyer of Jefferson, WI and by Great Grandchildren: Madelyn Ehlke, Meagan Ehlke, Danika Marks, Allie Marks, Jessica-Lynn Senor, Virginia Senor, Stephanie Senor and Canann Heyer.
Bill was preceded in death by his Parents: William and Laura Ehlke, Sisters: Betty Jane Hoffman and Renee Gerlach and Son in law: Rev. Steven Hasenstein and Grandson; Ryan Froehlich.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 12:30 PM at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Minocqua, WI with a visitation from 11:30 AM till time of service. Inurnment will take place at St. Germain Cemetery.
