William LaMure

William A. LaMure, age 83, of North Rd. in Tomahawk, and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. He was born August 23, 1925 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Hazel (Kanopa) LaMure. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He worked for Advanced Tool Die Casting in Milwaukee for many years. Upon his retirement, he moved to the Tomahawk area. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include a Nephew, Roger LaMure of Milwaukee. Funeral Services for William LaMure will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 12 Noon from Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate with interment at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the town of Nokomis. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of services at Noon. A Veterans Tribute Service will take place immediately before the funeral service at the church.
