WILLIAM FREEMAN
William McCormick Freeman, 78, Prentice, died in the Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was born in the family home in Spirit Falls on June 8, 1937, the son of Alonzo and Alma (McConnell) Freeman Sr. He was married to Shirley Woelfle in Reno, Nevada, on March 2, 1963. He was self employed for most of his working career, working in Wisconsin and Colorado where he was a cabinetmaker, carpenter, manufactured campers, operated an auto body shop, did mechanic work, and farmed. In his free time he enjoyed travel, camping and cooking big breakfasts for the camp, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; by four sons, William C. (Julie), Ammon, ID, Rick T. (Tara), Prentice, Gary (Louise), Ogema, and Terry (Janell), Hawkins; by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and by one sister, Edith (Bud) Kalander, Prentice. He is preceded in death by five brothers and sisters,Ima Belle Phatzgraff, Charlotte Jayjock, Alonzo Freeman Jr, Dorothy Cloke, and Patsy Hanson.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Ogema. The family will be having a private service at a later date.
