Wilma Muehl, nearly 101 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Country Terrace Assisted Living under the care of Ministry Hospice.
Wilma was born February 9, 1916 in the town of Skanawan to George & Verna Cummings. She was married to Elmer Street in 1934. Together, Elmer & Wilma had 8 children. Elmer preceded her in death in 1960. She later married Howard Muehl; he passed away in 2003. Wilma was a wonderful cook and had worked in various restaurants, including Harold Kaminski’s, the Tomahawk Hotel, LaNou’s, Denny’s Restaurant & Edgewater Country Club. She enjoyed cards, bingo, crafts, sewing and knitting. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, in Tomahawk.
Wilma is survived by her son, Phillip (Joyce) Street & her daughter, Patricia (Ed) Besse, both of Tomahawk; she is further survived by 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Wilma is preceded in death by her 2 husbands, 5 sons- Jim, Bob, Larry, Roger & Duane “Grease”, 1 daughter – Audrey Jones, her grandson - Scott, her great grandson - Frank, 2 sisters and a brother.
The Funeral Service for Wilma Muehl will take place at 11:00AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the United Methodist Church. The visitation will take place at the church from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the United Methodist Church, in Tomahawk.
