ZELDA MAY STADE
Zelda M. Stade, 87, Township of Hill, died on Wednesday December 3, 2014, at the home of her daughter under the care of her family and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.
She was born on October 1, 1927, in Shelby County, Missouri, the daughter of Bert and Alice (Mix) Tils. She made her home in Price County with her family as a young adult. She attended and graduated from Prentice High School, Class of 1946. She was married to Leland Dean Stade on Feb. 28, 1947, in Phillips. he preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1992. She and her husband helped raise over 125 Foster Children.
In her freee time she enjoyed baking, reading, and grafting projects.
She is survived by 5 children: Marlene Johnson, Ogema, Wayne (Joanne Skomaroske) Stade, Phillips, Gail (Robert) Kerner, Ogema, Kevin (Debbie) Stade, Battle View, N.D., and John (Patty) Stade, Catawba, by 29 grandchildren, 34, great grandchildren 6 great-great grandchildren, by 1 sister Shirley Kidwell, Chillicothe, Missouri, and by 1 brother-in-law Ronald (Delores) Stade, Prentice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Leland Dean Stade, by 1 son Larry Stade, by 1 daughter Wendy Lou, by 1 grandson Bradley Hlasny, by 1 sister Marie Root, by 1 son-in-law George Johnson, and by 1 daughter-in-law Helen Stade.
Athe funeral servie will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, with Pastor John Trewyn officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Ogema.
Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice after 5:00 P.M. on Friday, December 5, 2014.
